The Tyrell F1 Team founded by Ken Tyrrell in 1958 and in 1971 Winning with the Tyrrell 001 which won both drivers' and constructors' championships that year, with a driving strength of Jackie Stewart and François Cevert, but on October 6th, 1973, Cevert was killed in practice for the US Grand Prix at Watkins Glen and Stewart retired at the end of that year. Various great drivers such as Alesi, Alboretto,Scheckter and Depailler followed but with lesser success and Ken sold the team to Craig Pollock which evolved into BAR then Honda F1, Brawn and now Mercedes.
